Most slicers (except for a few industrial application programs) only support the model formats of STL and OBJ. These formats are notorious for the inconveniences to printing: they are difficult to edit; they can't fully comply with the requirements from the design stage; and issues like data loss may occur due to format conversion. As 3D printing is making its way into all walks of life, it's increasingly necessary for 3D printing software to support formats from common CAD programs.
CHITUBOX Pro supports all mainstream CAD formats, including STEP, STP, IGES, 3MF, 3DS, 3DM, WRL, X3D, SAT, SAB, DAE, DXF, FBX, IFC, IGS, JT, and more. It can read formats from all major CAD programs without extra format conversion, simplifying your process workflow.
File management system upgraded, again
To satisfy the growing printing requirements, CHITUBOX Pro includes a new file management system. It allows you to manage multiple files more easily with new features like partial selection, multiple slice profiles management, multiple resin profiles management, model coloring, new right-click menu, selected files saving or export, and more.

And now CHITUBOX Pro is equipped with the brand new auto support feature, with a smarter algorithm, faster speed, and sky-high freedom in support setting configuration.
Also, 3D printing users are always desiring for creating well-structured, stable supports with minimal impacts on model surfaces. Now CHITUBOX Pro can help you achieve this goal more easily. The Add and Edit Support tools have been fully upgraded, so they have more support styles and settings, making it easier for you to design and edit support structures.
The Edit Support tool in CHITUBOX Pro has the following features:
Brand-new island overhang detection function, finding island overhangs easily
9 support styles, Default, Vertical, Upright, Connection, Two Points Connected, Small Pillar, Branch, Contour, Tree-like, suitable for all kinds of manual support needs
Many more raft shapes added.
What's more, CHITUBOX Pro has a Symmetrical Support feature that helps you add supports for symmetrical models. It can detect the planes of symmetry, and you can select the plane you want and add supports on one side. Then it will add supports at the same position on the other side.
Groundbreaking Multi-Parameter Slice
Most traditional slicers are only able to use one profile for one print. This has multiple restrictions and usually requires you to choose between time and quality. In CHITUBOX Pro, we have introduced a revolutionary Multi-parameter Slice feature. With this tool, you can break through those limits and configure different slice settings, for different models, height ranges or cross section area ranges in the same print. Using Multi-Parameter Slice makes model slicing more customizable, and can help you better balance print efficiency and quality.
One-stop professional model repair toolset
Many 3D printing users have experienced model problems like corruption and inverted faces, which makes their prints easy to fail. And to fix them, you would need a third-party repair program, which usually has a high price and a steep learning curve.
But in CHITUBOX Pro, all these model problems can be solved with a snap of fingers. The software has been integrated with a set of professional and easy-to-use model repair tools. You can detect and fix model errors like holes, inverted faces and redundant shells with just a few clicks. It can also start the detection and warn you of issues right after you import your models, saving you from the troubles of print failures caused by tiny model problems.
Detect and edit islands, pixel by pixel
Island detection was introduced in the Basic version of CHITUBOX a while ago. It can quickly detect and remove islands on your models after it has been sliced. In CHITUBOX Pro, this feature has been upgraded. In addition to the functions above, you can also edit the pixels on the islands or other areas in each layer, including add, delete, and format brush pixels, making it easier for you to retouch your models.
